Adrian Peterson's Future: Former Vikings MVP Deserves Second Chance In New City? [VIDEO]

The Minnesota Vikings have thus far been resolute in their efforts not to allow star running Adrian Peterson to play for another team at any point despite his insistence that he would like to be released or traded.

Dallas Dropping The 'Dez Bryant Rules'

While it is perfectly within Minnesota's rights to treat their best player this way, does Peterson deserve better? He has done all that has been asked of him in the wake of his child abuse allegations, and he has now been reinstated into the league.

The draft came and went without a Peterson trade, and it now appears that hope is lost for the former MVP as far as his chances of wearing a different uniform next season are concerned.

Peyton Manning Not Done After 2015?

None of this sits very well with Peterson, according to TMZ. Dean Cain, who just so happens to be good buddies with Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett, thinks that Peterson has "learned his lesson" after all that has happened to him over the past year and that he deserves a second chance and a fresh start.

Cain also hopes that Peterson will get said fresh start in Dallas, which he says would be "game over" as far as other teams beating the Cowboys goes.

None of this means that the Vikings will do anything with their star, of course, but it seems like they will eventually have to do something if their superstar remains steadfast in his desire to play elsewhere.
