The WWE present Payback live tonight from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Md. and there is a lot of buzz surrounding the latest WWE pay-per-view and network special.
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan was set to appear at Payback Sunday night, but the WWE has since pulled him from the appearance so that he could focus on physical therapy.
Bryan vacated the Intercontinental Championship on RAW this week and a new champion will be crowned at Elmination Chamber on May 31 in Texas. Participants have yet to be announced.
Bryan isn't likely to return to television until he's cleared to compete unless he's brought in to promote his forthcoming book and DVD, whichever comes first.
Bryan's wife Brie Bella was reportedly injured during a house show on Friday at State College in Pennsylvania. Brie and her sister and WWE Divas Champion NIkki Bella were going head-to-head with Tamina and Naomi when she hurt her shoulder.
Brie was fighting Tamina and landed badly on her shoulder, leading to the referee putting up the "X" symbol to denote an injury. Trainers came out to check on her and The Bella Twins eventually won the match.
After the bout, the heels double teamed Nikki Bella and Paige made the save. There's no update on if The Bella Twins match with Tamina and Naomi Sunday night will have any changes, but it is possible Paige makes an appearance for the first time since being written off of television.
