'WWE Payback 2015' Results: Seth Rollins Retains The WWE Championship and More

"The Architect" stole a page out of the playbook of "The Game."

Seth Rollins won a Fatal 4 Way Match against Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns by borrowing the Pedigree from Triple H to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

With Ambrose and Reigns taken out, Orton had the match well in-hand and thwarted off Kane and J&J Security, but he fell prey to the Pedigree and Rollins pinned him to keep the title.

Kane and J&J Security got involved throughout the match on Rollins' behalf, and there was an interesting segment where The Shield briefly reunited.

The three hit Orton with a Triple Powerbomb through a table, but Reigns and Ambrose were quick to turn on "The Architect."

Reigns and Ambrose then powerbombed Kane onto Rollins through another table, but both men would eventually recover.

The show ended with Rollins and Triple H celebrating the win.

John Cena was also successful in his defense of the United States Championship against Rusev in an I Quit Match. Cena grabbed the top rope, which was taken apart by Rusev, and he put the Bulgarian Brute in the STF with the rope. Lana then quit for the Super Athlete to end the match.

Notable spots saw Cena deliver the AA to Rusev on the stage causing pyro to explode and Rusev suplexing his opponent through a barricade that was leaning on the apron. In a backstage segment, Rusev told Lana to get out of the locker room after the loss.

The New Day also retained its Tag Team Championships in a 2 out of 3 falls match against Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. After the teams were tied at one fall apiece, Xavier Woods entered the match illegally without the referee noticing and pinned Cesaro with a small package.

In other action, Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler in a back-and-forth match via a Brogue Kick while Bray Wyatt overcame Ryback after throwing him into an exposed turnbuckle and hitting the Sister Abigail for the pinfall victory.

Elsewhere, Neville defeated King Barrett after he intentionally got counted out when he couldn't put The Man That Gravity Forgot away. After the bout, Neville got the upper-hand and hit the Red Arrow on the WWE's royalty.

In Divas action, Naomi and Tamina defeated The Bella Twins after Nikki was on the top rope and got distracted by Tamina slamming Brie into the barricade, allowing Naomi to slam her off and pin the reigning Divas Champion.

In the pre-show, R-Truth defeated Stardust while The Ascension toppled The Meta Powers after hitting the Fall of Man.
