Real Madrid Transfer News: Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez Permanent Transfer Rejected, Tottenham £7.5 Million Favorites

The remainder of the 2015 calendar year will have three certainties for Real Madrid: No Champions League title, no La Liga title and no Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.

According to Metro, the club turned down a permanent transfer for the Mexican international. The Spanish giants have zero interest in keeping the forward beyond this summer despite his contributions late in the campaign.

Per the reports, Tottenham are now the favorites to sign Hernandez for a fee in the neighborhood of £7.5 million.

The news, however, should come as no surprise.

A tumultuous season saw the 26-year-old largely relegated to the bench. Typically a silent figure, Hernandez began to take to the media to voice his displeasure.

"The season has been very complicated," he told beIN Sport France in early May (via Goal). "But in football, sometimes the wheel turns very quickly and thank God I now have more possibilities to play. My parents taught me that patience and perseverance are part of learning."

"For many people, I was already finished here, but it was only the beginning," he added. "One must not lower one's head. I learn every day in this great club and all I am grateful to God for that. I know that at Real Madrid the competition is strong and the minutes are rare and my intention was never to complain."

"But at times, I just expressed the frustration I felt, as I am not one to be content with sitting on the bench. I always want more."

Given Tottenham's inability to secure and maintain Champions League quality players, the opportunity will certainly be there for Hernandez to achieve more at White Hart Lane.
