PGA Tour Leaderboard: Crowne Plaza Invitational Round 1 Recap, Jordan Spieth Impresses Home Crowd

The first day of the Crowne Plaza Invitational came to a close on Thursday, with Jordan Spieth, Ryo Ishikawa, Kevin Na and Boo Weekley all grabbing a share of the lead..

Ian Poulter and George McNeill finished one stroke back, rounding out the top six. Below is a recap of the first day's events (via PGA Tour).

What They're Saying

Jordan Spieth: "I'm comfortable enough hitting my 9-8-7 irons into the green right now. They're so receptive that you can still fire them right at the flag, so I was able to lay back, where I maybe pushed it and got into trouble the past years."

Boo Weekley: "Not really swinging at it real good right now because of my back. We just tried to manage it knowing that we couldn't hit the full shots. I might say I see it a cup out; he might say, 'No, it's only a ball out,' so then I'd go with his advice and make it."

George McNeil: "I'm not a fast starter. I really don't know why. I can't pinpoint it. If I knew why, obviously I'd try and fix it. Maybe I did today."
