Real Madrid Transfer News: Cristiano Ronaldo Open to Leaving, PSG Prepare £91 Million Bid

Real Madrid are yet to finish their season, with Saturday's contest against Getafe serving as the finale to a disappointing campaign, but that didn't stop silly season from switching into full gear on Friday.

According to Marca (via Goal Transfer Talk), Paris-Saint Germain are preparing a £91 million bid for Cristiano Ronaldo. The French champions believe the reigning FIFA Ballon d'Or winner is open to leaving.

Per the report, Madrid president Florentino Perez does not consider him irreplaceable.

Apparently in 2015, 45 goals and 16 assists are replaceable.

The report, however, is a direct contradiction to Perez's defense of Ronaldo following his 30th birthday.

"I am not getting into questioning Cristiano Ronaldo," he said (via ESPN FC). "There are people who do not love us in the media. I will not repeat his CV. He just picked up his third Ballon d'Or."

"Everyone has had a drop [in form] due to circumstances," Perez added. "He is working to recover, as always does, and to win the Ballon d'Or again."

Adding to the ridiculousness of Friday's rumors was Metro's report of a £157.3 million plot from Manchester United to not only challenge PSG for Ronaldo, but also acquire the services of Gareth Bale.

That's Madrid's two biggest stars gone after one trophyless campaign, as if the illustrious Decima wasn't delivered less than 12 months ago.

The Verdict

In reality, all transfer rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. The ones involving Ronaldo and Bale, however, should be taken with a metric ton.

If there's one thing Perez will sacrifice balance for, it's stars. His transfer record is living proof, so to insinuate he'd be willing to part with the two biggest at his disposal in the same window is outlandish and risible at best.
