PGA European Tour Leaderboard: Irish Open 2015 Round 2 Recap, Rory McIlroy Misses Cut

The second day of the 2015 Irish Open came to a close on Friday, with six players sharing the lead.

Bernd Wiesberger, Richie Ramsay, Soren Kjeldsen, Tyrrell Hatton, Chris Wood and Rafael Cabrera-Bello are all 3-under par and are at the summit of the tournament. Below is a recap of the second day's events.

What They're Saying

Padraig Harrington (via the Guardian): "The pressure wouldn't be gone, but it certainly is less or I'm certainly trying to make myself believe that at least. Yes, having won one is always nice. It would be something to miss in my CV if I had not won an Irish Open and the pressure to win any tournament is enough to keep your mind occupied."

Rory McIlroy (via BBC): "I left myself too much to do from yesterday. I played a solid round of golf today but it just wasn't enough. The support out here was phenomenal, but this is going to be the third year in a row that they won't see me playing at the weekend and that is disappointing, to say the least."

Richie Ramsay (via Daily Record): "I know how to play links golf, being brought up at Royal Aberdeen, and I was coming into a little form. You just need to stay patient and enjoy the challenge. When you miss a green, it's something you should enjoy, not something you dread."
