Now that Indy darling Samoa Joe has signed a full-time pact with the WWE, it appears it may be time for him to part ways with Ring of Honor.

Joe already had an NXT deal in place, but he reportedly showed up to Monday Night RAW last week to iron out a full-time WWE contract after the company was very pleased with his merchandise sales.

Joe also wrestled a dark match against Tyson Kidd which led to an injury for Kidd and may sideline him for a while.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, WWE is pushing for Joe's planned tag team match with AJ Styles against Kazarian and Daniels for Ring of Honor on June 20 to not be taped for television, which was the original plan.

It's said the current plans are in flux as the WWE doesn't want Joe appearing on TV for Ring of Honor now that he is fully on board with Vince McMahon's company.

While Joe's merchandise was one of the reasons behind the WWE extending him, it's also been stated that ROH inking a deal with Destination America, which is also the home of TNA's Impact Wrestling, and the promotion looking to have Joe work more dates for it also contributed in the WWE offering Joe a big time deal.

ROH wanted Joe to work its huge show at MCU Field in Brooklyn on Aug. 22 and Joe was willing to work the date, but per the report that appearance could be in jeopardy with the WWE's involvement.

While a name change and main roster spot are still up in the air for Joe, he is slated to be a full-timer on NXT starting in September and for now he will be a major part of any NXT specials and live events. Joe is not taking any independent bookings after Aug. 31.

The WWE was said to be caught by surprise over ROH signing a cable deal and that is the main factor that led to them signing Joe as well as the need for major stars in NXT with Kevin Owens getting called up to the main roster and Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami dealing with injuries.

Joe made a surprise appearance at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable last month and disrupted the main event match between Owens and Zayn for the NXT Championship, causing a no-contest.

Joe then announced he is a part of NXT and plans to take it by storm.

He may do so at the expense of working for ROH and other Indy promotions.
