Chivas Guadalajara Transfer News: Gerardo 'Jerry' Flores Offered $5 Million, Alan Pulido Club's Plan B

Make no mistake, Chivas Guadalajara are looking to improve in the offseason. Club president Nestor de la Torre made that abundantly clear following elimination in the semifinals of the Liguilla.

"There is a lot of work and planning to be done for the next tournament," de la Torre said (via Esto). "We will fully confront what we saw to try to improve. We are well aware, so that it can be overcome. We have much to do. You don't only have to plan tactically in training, but also in the design of the team and that's what keeps us busy because we will face a season in which we have few percentage points and we are aware of that."

"Guadalajara has to always be in one of the top spots, qualifying and competing," he added. "We realistically have to take steps and must be sound, solid, so clearly I think Guadalajara must be constantly at the top, be entering the finals, looking for the cup and league."

One player that will assist in de la Torre's mission is Gerardo "Jerry" Flores.

Cruz Azul were offered $5 million for the right back last December, but the club refused to accept Guadalajara's bid. According to Televisa Deportes, the Goats are intent on finalizing a deal this summer.

Tigres UANL striker Alan Pulido could potentially join him at the Estadio Omnilife as well. Per the reports, the 24-year-old is considered plan B should Chivas fail to acquire Eduardo Herrera from Pumas UNAM.

On loan to APO Levadiakos, Pulido made six Super League appearances and is scheduled to return to Tigres this season.
