Jerry Sandusky Prison Letters To Pen Pal Claim He's "Trying To Get Better"

Jerry Sandusky recently wrote a pen pal and confessed he’s having a “very challenging” time behind bars, according to TMZ.

The disgraced former Penn State assistant coach added he “trying to get better” after being convicted of raping 10 to 15 young boys, some of them even on school grounds, and being sentenced to up to 60 years in prison.

“I’ve been quite confined, always searching for purpose” TMZ added Sandusky wrote. “It is very challenging.” The website added in each of the letters, one of them penned in May and the other June, Sandusky continues to play the role of the victim. In one, he calls his conviction a “grave injustice”  and vows to continue fighting the case “until the last whistle.”

Without getting more specific, Sandusky also touched on his "personal battles," – assuring his newfound friend that "I'm trying to get better."

Sandusky, 69, joins jailed former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez in communicating with multiple pen pals since being imprisoned. At least two letters Hernandez recently penned where recently leaked over the web.

Hernandez is being held without bail on first-degree murder charges in the shooting death of one-time associate and semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.
