Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade cannot let Trayvon Martin go.
The shooting guard for the two-time NBA champion Heat posted a picture of himself with his sons in grey sweatshirts on the cover of September cover of Ebony magazine, Deadspin.com reported.
Wade's sons, Zaire and Zion, have the hoods on their heads, similar to the composite drawing that has become synonymous with the image of Martin. The headline on the cover of the magazine reads: "We Are Trayvon" with the sub-headline, "Join the Movement to Change America."
Martin was shot and killed by George Zimmerman on Feb. 26, 2012. Zimmerman recently was found innocent of murder charges, causing Wade to take to Twitter to share his displeasure with the verdict.
Wade was the only Heat player who tweeted about the case shortly afterward, saying: "Wow! Stunned!! Saddened as a father!! Som1 make sense of this verdict for me right now please!!! ... How do I explain this to my boys?"
The verdict was similar to the O.J. Simpson verdict in 1995 that divided the country along racial lines.
Shortly after Martin's death became public, Wade wrote "RIP Trayvon Martin" and "We Want Justice" on his shoes with a sharpie.
The cover with the Wade family is one of four covers Ebony is using to honor Martin with the "We Are Trayvon" headline.
The publication is rolling out four separate covers with the headline "We Are Trayvon," featuring the slain teenager's family, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin with their son Jahvaris Fulton; director Spike Lee and his son Jackson, actor Boris Kodjoe and his son Nicolas are the others.
The Lee and Kodjoe families also are wearing grey hoodies.
