Manchester United Transfer News: Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez Returning to Real Madrid, Liverpool Ready to Launch Bid

Conflicting reports suggest that Javier "Chicharito" Hernanez's next move is far from clear. According to Spanish outlet AS (via the Independent), Liverpool are ready to launch a bid for the Mexican international, removing any possibility of a return to Real Madrid.

Hernandez said as much when speaking to AS in June.

"Now, I'm with Manchester United. Madrid did not activate the option to buy me," he said."If Madrid want me next season, they will have to fight with other clubs that want me."

The conflict, however, comes in a new advert for official Real Madrid sponsor Viva. In it, Hernandez appears alongside Toni Kroos, Keylor Navas and Alvaro Arbeloa, fueling speculation of a return to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Just don't tell Juan Mata. The Manchester United midfielder voiced his desire to play alongside Hernandez at Old Trafford next season.

"Chicharito still belongs to Manchester United and selfishly I'd like him to be with us," Mata told reporters in Mexico (via Manchester Evening News). "He has scored goals in every team he has played in and is a very smart striker."

"Chicharito is a great friend," he added. "When I arrived to Manchester, he behaved great with me. He is a great person and a great professional. I've been lucky enough to share a dressing room with Chicharito, whom I admire."

All signs point to that luck running out in 2015. Despite the exit of Radamel Falcao, manager Louis van Gaal is adamant on selling Hernandez to a foreign club in the summer transfer window.
