According to Catalan newspaper Sport (via the Daily Star), Real Madrid have offered Arturo Vidal a five-year deal and will turn to Juventus in an attempt to lower their valuation. Per the reports, the Bianconeri are seeking nothing less than £21 million for the Chilean international.
Vidal was linked with Arsenal, but the player's agent revealed he has never had talks with the London-based club.
Fernando Llorente
Javier Hernandez wasn't Real Madrid quality, but Fernando Llorente apparently is. According to La Sexta (via AS' Joaquin del Pozo), Benitez has told the board Llorente is the true No. 9 of his choice.
"Llorente, who spent a large part of last season playing second fiddle to álvaro Morata, is already aware of interest from the new Real Madrid coach," del Pozo wrote. "And he would be delighted to pack his suitcases and head to the Spanish capital, where he would have to fight for a first-team place with Karim Benzema."
David De Gea
The good news is: Madrid will be able to acquire David De Gea on a free transfer. The bad news is: Madrid will be forced to wait another year.
According to Mirror, Manchester United have rejected any suggestion they are ready to reach a compromise over a fee for De Gea. The club says it has no intention of budging from its £35 million valuation.
