WWE 2K16 Roster Cover Revealed: 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin Featured On Video Game [PHOTO, VIDEO]

The WWE 2K16 video game will come with a huge can of whoopass.

The WWE revealed on Monday that Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will grace the cover of the game, which is set to be released in North America on Oct. 27 and in Europe on Oct. 30.

This marks the second time in three years that the company has gone with a member of the WWE roster that isn't a full-time Superstar. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was the cover star for WWE 2K14. Last year, the WWE chose John Cena as its frontman for the video game.

The WWE released an official statement along with the announcement, and it includes comments from the Texas Rattlesnake.

"I've had the privilege of working with 2K to support the WWE 2K franchise, and now I'm absolutely honored to serve as the WWE 2K16 cover Superstar," Austin said, according to the release. "No disrespect to the previous and extremely deserving WWE 2K cover Superstars - Dwayne 'The Rock®' Johnson and John Cena® - but it's about time the franchise raised some hell with yours truly on the cover. I look forward to injecting a dose of 'Texas Rattlesnake' into this year's game and overall campaign."

The WWE has given a lot of hype to the new game, saying it will have the "largest roster in the game's history," which includes over 120 playable characters.

"Stone Cold Steve Austin's iconic style, unmistakable personality and worldwide reverence from the WWE Universe make him the ideal fit for WWE 2K16," said Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing at 2K, in the statement. "Not only will Austin grace the video game's cover, but he's involved in shaping its creative direction. Through his numerous contributions, inclusion on the largest roster in franchise history and the game's to-be-announced features, WWE 2K16 is certain to put everyone on notice."

WWE 2K16 already had a lot of buzz, and now it has been revealed that the toughest S.O.B. in professional wrestling history will be on the cover.
