Manny Pacquiao's ill will toward Floyd Mayweather Jr. was inflamed recently when Mayweather posted a video of himself on social media slapping a dummy and referring to it as Pacquiao.
In the video, Mayweather grabbed the dummy's shoulder and mockingly asked if it was bothering him, then slapped it a few times and essentially told Pacquiao to stop making excuses for losing the May 2 "Fight of the Century." Pacquiao was not amused when he saw the clip, bringing up Mayweather's lengthy domestic violence record that became a storyline as their fight approached.

"We should understand Floyd Mayweather Jr. because of his family background. He hailed from a family of ex-convicts and he himself is an ex-convict. We could not blame him because his action just showed the kind of family upbringing he had," Pacquiao said.
"It only reminds me of what he did to his ex-wife. I hope he would find time to reflect on his life and repent for the sins he committed in the past. A real champion is gracious both in his words and conduct. Someone who is a champion not just in his chosen field of endeavor, but even in his own home and private life."
Pacquiao revealed after his unanimous decision loss to Mayweather that he had fought through a torn labrum, and underwent surgery that would shelve him for nine months to a year. He’s currently rehabbing that injury, and his promoter Bob Arum said Pacquiao is confident he would have won if healthy.
“He thought he won the fight,' Arum said. “With both shoulders, he felt he would have won easy.” Arum himself, likely positioning for a rematch, said he thought the fight should have been scored a draw as is even with Pacquiao’s injury.
I watched the fight over and over again,' he said, 'Without being biased - in addition to the four rounds that (two) judges gave Pacquiao - I gave him the second. I don't see how you could take the second round away from him. And the last round as well, which would have made it a draw,” Arum said.
