Randy Moss, NFL Analyst? Retired Former Wide Receiver Close To Deal With New Fox Sports Cable Network

Former All-Pro receiver Randy Moss is close to inking a deal with Fox Sports to be a football analyst on its new cable network.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, the future NFL Hall of Famer has reached tentative agreement on a deal that will feature him contributing to the Fox Daily Show alongside Curt Menefee, Jay Glazer, Brian Urlacher and Ronde Barber.  Moss could also appear on the new all-sports network Sunday afternoon pre and post-game NFL shows.

After 14 NFL seasons, the 36-year-old Moss retired following the 2012 season as arguably one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game. He amassed 982 receptions over his career, good for 15, 292 yards and 156 touchdowns. The ultra-speedy wideout also had 76 catches of over 40 yards.

Always a character, many feel the outspoken Moss could prove a natural behind the microphone---as long as he can remain interested and engaged.

Moss once famously told reporters “I talk when I wanna talk.” In 2004, while still with the Minnesota Vikings, he left the field with time remaining on the clock in a game the Vikings were losing and in 2011 he briefly announced his retirement from the game before joining the San Francisco 49ers.
