In advance of the British Open, Tiger Woods said he had no intentions of retiring due to his recent struggles on the course. His detractors, however, aren't making his choice any easier.
CBS Sports posted a tweet from the official Twitter account of none other than the American Association of Retired Persons, which decided to troll Woods' 4-over 76 in the opening round at St. Andrews that left him tied for 139th place after the opening round.

"There you have it, folks," CBS Sports reported. "One of golf's greatest ever has now been reduced to getting kicked around on Twitter by the (AARP). Welcome to 2015."

The AARP wasn't the only over-50 entity to take a shot at the 39-year-old Woods, who is in danger of missing his second straight cut at a major.

USA TODAY Sports' For the Win posted comments ESPN's 55-year-old golf analyst Paul Azinger made about Woods' round. And those were less flattering than the AARP tweet.
"... It's hard to watch the greatest player of this generation be a middle of the pack hack," Azinger said.
"... Here's a stat for you: Tiger Woods is 21 over par for his last 45 holes at major championships.
"... You almost want to say, 'Who are you and what have you done to Tiger Woods?'
"Everyone wanted to swing like Tiger. Except Tiger.
"Nobody needs to tell Tiger what to think, they need to remind him to think."
The 76 score was Woods' worst at St. Andrews, the site of his 2000 British Open triumph in which he shot a 19-under 269.
As Reuters reported, the only 269 Woods is likely to see this week is the room number of his hotel at St. Andrews Hotel, the room in which he's requested every year since his 2000 triumph.
"I'm so far back and the leaderboard is so bunched that in order for me to get in there by Sunday, I'm going to have to have the conditions tough and then obviously put together some really solid rounds," Woods said, according to Reuters.
