Sting WWE Rumors; 'The Vigilante' To Team With Roman Reigns At 'SummerSlam?' [VIDEO]

The Vigilante may be coming to the rescue of Roman Reigns.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there are plans in place for Sting to align himself with Reigns in his clash with The Wyatt Family, leading into a match at SummerSlam.

On Sunday night at Battleground, Reigns lost to Bray Wyatt after Luke Harper interfered to cost him the match and realign himself with The Eater of Worlds.

Per the report, it is expected that now Sting will forge an allegiance with Reigns, possibly leading into a tag team match at SummerSlam on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

There is also a possibility that Dean Ambrose will get involved in the feud, meaning someone else may become a new member of The Wyatt Family.

The original plans called for Erick Rowan to also reunite with Wyatt, but since he has a legitimate injury that is likely to sideline him for the rest of 2015, the WWE will have to improvise.

SummerSlam will either see Reigns and Sting vs. Wyatt and Harper or Reigns, Sting and Ambrose vs. Wyatt, Harper and a new member of the stable.

Sting made his in-ring WWE debut at WrestleMania 31 in March in a loss to Triple H at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., but he hasn't competed since.

The Vigilante said he hoped he'd have another opportunity to be showcased in Vince McMahon's company and it appears as though that is coming this summer.

There are rumors that Sting could appear on this week's edition of Monday Night RAW and that could very well be the place where this storyline kicks into gear.

While a Shield reunion seems like it won't happen for a while, Reigns and Ambrose may be getting a new partner in legendary Superstar Sting for a high-profile match at The Greatest Party of the Summer.
