David Price Trade Rumors: 3 Possible Destinations For Tigers LHP [VIDEO]

UPDATE: The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired David Price, according to multiple reports.

With the MLB trade deadline looming, the Detroit Tigers have announced themselves as sellers and there are many eyes on left-hander David Price.

5 Outfielders Who Could Be Traded At MLB Deadline

The Tigers have had a very disappointing campaign to this point, entering Thursday with a 49-52 record, placing them 12.5 games behind the first place and defending American League champion Kansas City Royals in the AL Central.

Detroit is also 3.5 games back in the wild-card race, with plenty of teams to hop over.

Price is one of many Tigers players who will likely be on the move come the 4 p.m. ET non-waiver MLB trade deadline on Friday.

Price, 29, is 9-4 with a 2.53 ERA this season and is set to hit free agency this winter. Price's ERA is fifth in the AL and he also ranks second in complete games (3) and fourth in strikeouts (138) while he has proven to be an innings eater, ranking fourth in the AL with 160 frames pitched.

With Price likely on the move, here are three potential landing spots for him.

UPDATE: The Toronto Blue Jays are also making a big push for Price.

1) Los Angeles Dodgers

With several injuries to their rotation, including Hyun-jin Ryu, the Dodgers have been in the hunt for starting pitching to shore up their rotation.

To acquire Price and match him up with reigning NL Cy Young and MVP Award winner Clayton Kershaw and MLB ERA leader Zack Greinke (1.37) would be an unbelievable move for L.A. as it hunts its first World Series since 1988.

The Dodgers have the prospects to deal in return for a potential trade with Price and they have the type of money to lock him down long-term in the winter if the situation arises.

Los Angeles (57-45) is embattled in a tight race with the San Francisco Giants (56-45), who they lead by a half-game in the NL West.

2) New York Yankees

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has repeatedly said that the team won't be trading for any high-end talent approaching the deadline, but one would have to imagine that if the Tigers dangle Price for a reasonable return, New York may pounce.

Despite his comments, the Yankees have been linked in several trade rumors this offseason and with their current pitching staff having several question marks when it comes to health (Masahiro Tanaka) and age (CC Sabathia) and their top young prospects likely not helping out in 2015, it's possible the Bronx Bombers make a move for Price.

The Yankees (57-43) have a pretty comfortable six-game lead atop the AL East.

3) San Francisco Giants

The Giants have been trying hard to upgrade their pitching staff, making a huge final push for Cole Hamels before the Philadelphia Phillies ultimately dealt him to the Texas Rangers.

The only thing that may hinder San Francisco's chances is that they may not be able to offer the type of prospects the Tigers would want in return, but maybe they can work something out for what ultimately could be a rental player.

San Francisco can also potentially re-sign Price at the end of the campaign as they have the money to pull off a long-term deal.

Another bonus for the Giants signing Price would be keeping him away from the Dodgers in a division race that is sure to go down to the wire. 2014 World Series hero Madison Bumgarner and Price teaming up atop the defending World Series champions rotation is a scary thought.
