Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn broke a bone in her ankle when she crashed during a training session in New Zealand.

Vonn labeled the injury as a "minor setback" and vowed that she can't be slowed down in a tweet that she sent out to break the news of her injury.

The two-time Olympic medalist is familiar with injuries as she dealt with a serious leg ailment in the past, but returned to set the all-time women's World Cup win record last season. Vonn now has 67 World Cup win victories to her credit.

The St. Paul, Minn., native also won her seventh World Cup downhill title last year.

Tiger Woods Feels No Sympathy For Rory McIlroy's Injured Ankle

Vonn, 30, has vowed that she will continue competing through the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and she's determined to make a return following her latest setback.

Vonn was in her second week of training in New Zealand in what marked her first workouts on snow prior to the upcoming season. Vonn didn't specify which ankle she injured.

Off the slopes, the four-time World Cup champion notably dated golfer Tiger Woods from March 2013 to this past May, but the two called it quits, and after the breakup, reports surfaced that Woods had cheated. Vonn was the victim of a joke by Joel McHale at the ESPY Awards last month.

"Many are calling Jordan Spieth the new Tiger Woods," McHale said of the 21-year-old golf star. "Which is great news for golf and terrible news for the future Mrs. Jordan Spieth."

McHale continued: "Is, uh, Lindsey behind me right now? She wasn't married to him! Is she mad?"

Vonn put the jokes behind her, and recently said it didn't hurt her feelings.

"You can't take that stuff seriously," Vonn told E News last month. "It is what it is. I don't take that stuff to heart."

One thing she can take to heart is injuries, but Vonn is determined to return to the slopes.
