Rusev & Summer Rae WWE Rumors: 'Bulgarian Brute' Says He Will 'Break Dolph Ziggler's Spine' At 'SummerSlam' [VIDEO]

Rusev and Summer Rae aren't looking to have much fun at "The Biggest Party of the Summer."

The "Bulgarian Brute" and the WWE Diva sat down with Michael Cole for his weekly in-character interview and they discussed the upcoming match between Rusev and Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam. "The Showoff" will battle Rusev this Sunday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Rusev told Cole he plans to destroy Ziggler at the event and he also touched on his former manager Lana, who now aligns herself with the four-time Intercontinental Champion.

"I crushed his throat with a single blow," Rusev said. "What do you think I can do in a match? In a legal match, one-on-one, I can do whatever I want and no one can stop me. So when I get him in this ring in Brooklyn, I'm not only gonna crush his throat, I'm gonna break his spine [into] a little jigsaw [puzzle]. And let that witch Lana try to put it together after that. And I'm gonna look straight into the camera, straight into Lana's eyes, and I'm gonna say, 'You are crushed!'"

Rusev and Ziggler have been part of a storyline ever since the "Super Athlete" was booked to split up with Lana and she aligned herself with "The Showoff." Summer Rae then entered the fray by becoming Rusev's manager in place of the departed "Ravishing Russian."

The WWE started the angle months ago, but it hasn't led to a match yet for myriad reasons. Shortly after the storyline was initiated, Rusev legitimately broke his foot and was sidelined. When he was ready to return from the ailment, Ziggler had to be written out of WWE storylines in the form of a vicious attack by Rusev so that he could go film the WWE Studios thriller "6:42."

Now, Ziggler is back and all roads to this storyline will converge live at SummerSlam this Sunday in New York City.
