A lot of people play golf when they retire, but Derek Jeter is taking it to a different level -- hustling President Barack Obama out of money on the course.
President Obama battled the Yankees legend on the golf course in November, but the shortstop wasn't quite the easy target that POTUS believed he was. Thinking that Jeter, who is known for his bat, not his golf club, wasn't good at golf, Obama opted to place a wager with the retired shortstop in a move that proved to be disadvantageous.

Obama didn't mince words, he flat out accused the Yankee captain of stealing his money.
"[Las Vegas Sun owner Brian Greenspun] and Derek Jeter stole money from me at Shadow Creek," Obama told Politico Magazine. "It was clearly a setup, because when we got to the practice range, he was shanking balls everywhere. I said, 'You play golf Derek?' And he said, 'I just started two weeks ago.'"

Just like his first full season in the MLB as a rookie in 1996, where he hit .314 and helped the Yankees to their first World Series since 1978 and their first of four titles in five years, Jeter had a day to remember on the golf course in one of his first outings.
Or perhaps, as Obama suggested, Jeter wasn't quite the beginner he claimed to be.
Heading into the game, Obama gave the five-time World Series champion a 30-stroke advantage, but he regretted it the minute Jeter "crushed" him on the first hole. Luckily, the president is a forgiving man.
"We had to take a picture of me handing Derek Jeter money at the end of the game," Obama said. "Despite that, Brian is a great friend."
As it turns out, Jeter is also Mr. November when it comes to golf.
