Miami Police Officer Who Ordered LeBron James Escort To Jay Z, Justin Timberlake Concert Disciplined

The Miami police officer deemed responsible for LeBron James’ unauthorized cop escort to a recent Jay Z/Justin Timberlake concert will be disciplined by the department.

According to CBS Sports, the unidentified officer will be subjected to “informal counseling” after an internal investigation determined he violated policy by providing the two-time NBA champ escort service to Sun Life Stadium.

James posted an Instagram video of himself trailing officers with strobe lights on as they drove down the wrong side of the street to the concert. “They treat us so well,” he wrote. “Needed it cause traffic was nuts.”

Initially, at least four different departments denied involvement with the incident or that any of their cruisers were involved. Typically in such incidents protocol requires that such classified dignitaries submit a written request prior to any such service.

James recently took to Facebook to rant about the struggles and sacrifices he’s forced to endure based on his celebrity.

“Man it’s hard to go out and have a good time these days,” James wrote. “It’s cool though, it’s part of my life. Wouldn’t change anything just saying. Been in the spotlight since I was 15. Sometimes u just wanna STOP!! But I refuse cause I have a commitment to the youth to inspire them. That will keep me pushing forward and focused alone.”
