Jason Day and Sang-Moon Bae surged to the top of the leaderboard on Saturday. The duo shot a 63 to grab a share of the lead and are 18 holes away from an all important 2,000 FedEx Cup points.

The one thing working in Bae's favor is Day's history of back issues. It hasn't slowed down the 27-year-old this weekend—due to favorable warm weather in Edison, New Jersey—but the slightest tightness at the wrong moment can prove to be costly.
Despite that, Day remains optimistic about his chances.
"I love the heat," he said, per PGATour.com. "It's very stiff in the morning, but the back is kind of a non-issue. I mean it's a little tight, but when you have back spasms and everything kind of locks up, it's kind of a granted that it's going to be tight over the week. But to be able to have hot weather is huge.
"Right now, the groove that I'm in, I'm trying to keep the same swing that I've been doing over the summer, and I'm not really trying to focus on, you know, winning."
