AJ Lee WWE Rumors: Man Shot At Performance Center Was Obsessed With Former WWE Diva [PHOTO, VIDEO]

More details have come out regarding the shooting at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, including the identity of the man who was shot and the disturbing behavior that led to the event.

Armando Montalvo of Orlando was shot by police wearing plain clothes after he charged at them with a knife Monday, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said, according to the New York Daily News. Police were called to the scene at around 1:30 p.m. after Montalvo once again returned to the WWE Performance Center despite the WWE getting an injunction on him for past odd behavior.

Montalvo was caught trespassing on WWE property on three separate occasions due to his obsession over former WWE Diva AJ Lee. Other weird behavior saw him spread his feces and urine on the building in the past, according to TMZ.

Montalvo wasn't shy about his lust for Lee, posting odd pictures on Instagram and wearing Converse sneakers with her name etched in them.

After its previous run-ins with him, the WWE got an injunction on Montalvo and upped its security at the Orlando facility. On Monday, Montalvo suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot in the torso and required surgery.

"At some point the individual charged at the deputies; the deputy retreated about 75-100 feet with his gun out, and the individual began to close in on him," said Sheriff Jerry Demings per the Daily News.

Montalvo, 29, was described by a person familiar with his personality as "just a little kid, like mentally." The person also said that they believe he needs psychological help. Montalvo was known to frequently wear wrestling outfits and dreamed of one day being a WWE Superstar.

Luis Rivera, who works next door to the WWE Performance Center, had witnessed Montalvo's past odd behavior.

"The crazy guy came in and was swinging a chain up in the air and apparently he came back today and got shot," Rivera told WFTV.

The WWE released a statement after the shooting.

"Unfortunately a deranged individual with no WWE affiliation, who had a court order prohibiting him from being on WWE property, was involved in an incident with an Orange County Sherriff's deputy in the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center," the WWE said. "We defer to the Orange County Sherriff's department for further comment and information."

Montalvo must not have realized that Lee, who is married to former disgruntled WWE Superstar-turned-UFC fighter CM Punk, left the company earlier this year, retiring as a three-time Divas Champion.
