Charlotte WWE News: Ric Flair's Daughter Talks 'Pressure' Of Living Up To Name, Doors Closing For Her [VIDEO]

WWE Diva Charlotte is looking to do everything with a little bit of Flair to make her father proud, but she also realizes she has to overcome plenty of obstacles and naysayers.

Charlotte burst onto the main roster earlier this year after a great stay in NXT, but she has a big name to live up to in her father, WWE Hall of Famer and 16-time World Champion Ric Flair. Charlotte sat down with Michael Cole for the weekly WWE.com interview and said she feels a lot of pressure living up to the Flair name and has cleared a lot of hurdles to prove herself.

"You know a lot of people think that doors opened easily for me, which they did, but it also you know, being his daughter it really has closed a lot of doors for me," Charlotte said. "I feel the pressure every single day living up to the last name Flair. I mean, sometimes I think to myself, 'Are you doing the right thing carrying on his legacy?'"

Charlotte, who has aligned herself with two-time Divas Champion Paige and Becky Lynch to form PCB as part of the Divas Revolution, got emotional during the interview and said she is proud to try and keep her father's legacy afloat.

"Sometimes I think I'm so proud of my dad that I want to carry out his legacy. I want to Woo. I want to do the Figure 8. I want to chop because that's my dad and I'm carrying out his legacy. And then I think, 'Will I ever be good enough? What do people think of me? Am I just a rip-off of my dad? Am I only in this position because of who he is?' It's hard.

"All I know how to do is work hard. ...My whole life all I've ever wanted to do was be the best at whatever sport I've played. And then when these doors did open, I didn't realize that so many were going to shut because it is hard being a generation kid in this business. And at the end of the day, I do just want to make my dad and my family proud, but I also feel [I'm] damned if I do, damned if I don't."

Charlotte was the second NXT Women's Champion in history and now she'll look for her first taste of WWE gold when she takes on Nikki Bella at Night of Champions on Sept. 20 in Texas for the Divas Championship.

No matter how the match is booked, there is no doubt she'll have the support of her legendary father.
