Russell Wilson, Ciara Marriage Rumors: Pop Singer Reaction Strange To Question At MTV VMAs [VIDEO]

First, there was a report of a wedding license application. Now there's video of Ciara talking about a wedding with Russell Wilson.

Access Hollywood posted a video of Ciara talking to reporter Liz Hernandez on the red carpet before the MTV Video Music Awards when Hernandez jokingly asked whether she could be invited to the pop singer's wedding to the Seahawks quarterback.

Ciara played along at first but then strangely backtracked a bit.

"Of course, I've got to have this pretty lady there," Ciara said when Hernandez asked her for an invitation to the wedding. "Oh, my gosh! What am I talking about? Like, of course ... yes, put it in the universe that it happens, sorry."

Rapper Future Accused Of Dramatizing Son Spending Time With Russell Wilson To Sell Records

And just before the interview ends, Ciara is heard saying, "Russell is going to kill me!"

For joking with a reporter about a wedding invite? It may be nothing, but Ciara certainly raised a bit of suspicion with her reaction.

If a wedding is forthcoming, at least it might lessen the criticism her ex-boyfriend, Future, has expressed over their son, Future Zahir, spending so much time with Wilson so soon into his relationship with Ciara. Terezowens.com reported that the two had applied for a marriage license in August.

Ciara has fired back at her ex, telling CBS This Morning on Aug. 19 that "I feel like in a sense it's a bit of a double standard because at one point in time when we were together, I took care of his kids as well."

Future told Ciara and Wilson to stop using his son as a "publicity stunt." However, the rapper also has been accused of making too much of the incident just to create media attention so that he could sell more records.
