The Messi-Ronaldo debate delved further into insanity on Thursday. A new initiative from Hubbub, attempting to crack down on cigarette butt litter in London, is asking smokers to determine who is the best player in the world by dispensing their cigarette butts into the appropriate bin.

Based on the above image, Ronaldo is running away with the vote.

Fortunately for Messi, smokers won't determine the FIFA Ballon d'Or.
The Argentine is the runaway favorite following a campaign that saw him finish with 43 league goals, the Copa del Rey, La Liga crown and Champions League title.

It's good to be the king, just don't tell Javier Mascherano. Messi's teammate for both club and country doesn't envy the standards being set for this generation's greatest talent.
