John Wall, Kevin Durant: Wizards Guard In D.C. To See Durant Play, 'Make It Rain' At Nightclub

Washington Wizards guard John Wall was spotted “making it rain” at a local nightclub during a recent weekend of fun and leisure that also included him watching Kevin Durant compete in the Goodman League Roundball Classic, according to the Washington Post.

“Everybody wants to see Kevin,” Wall told the newspaper before the game at DeMatha High that also featured recent NBA Draft lottery-pick Victor Oladipo. “He’s one of the two best players in the league. He’s going to do what he do. It’s just exciting to be here. Even though I’m not playing, I always come out and show support.”

Wall likewise showed his “support” to local hotspot Stadium, where he was spotted “throwing dollar bills on the ground.”

It’s not as if the 23-year-old former Kentucky star has any shortage of them. The Wiz recently signed Wall to a five-year, $80 million extension. Wall averaged 19 points and 8 assists last year and over his first four seasons has netted 17 points and 8 assists.

With a roster that includes such new jacks as Bradley Beal, Otto Porter and Glen Rice Jr., Wall is being counted on as one of the team’s young leaders.

“He is the cornerstone of our team, and we have clearly expressed our desire to build around him well before making it official by re-signing him,” Wizards owner Ted Leonsis said in a statement at the time of Wall signing the agreement. “We are extremely confident in his leadership abilities and are excited to see the continued improvement of the team.”
