Ryan Sheckler: World's Most Famous Skater Finds Refuge On Golf Course, In Justin Bieber Videos [VIDEO]

Ryan Sheckler may be famous for his abilities on the skateboard, but he also thrives in golf and has appeared in a Justin Bieber music video.

The tattoo-covered skater won his first X Games gold medal when he was 13, but skating isn't the only thing that defines him. Sheckler, 25, has grown an affinity for former World No. 1 golfer Rickie Fowler, 26, and the sport of golf in general.

"It's crazy how much action sports and golf are getting together," Sheckler told the San Diego Union-Tribune. "Everybody I meet in golf is a fan of skateboarding, and I'm a big fan of golfers. I feel like the world is accepting everybody. There are so many young kids getting into golf, just like skateboards, and just ripping."

Sheckler told the publication he was "nervous" when he first met Fowler, but the two have a bond now and a lot of similarities with being young stars in their respective sports. Last week, Sheckler hosted his eighth annual charity golf tournament at Del Mar Country Club to raise funds for the Ryan Sheckler Foundation, which was founded in 2008 and supports causes for children and injured action sports athletes.

Sheckler has no qualms about trading in his skateboard for a golf club.

"I just love golf," Sheckler, who has broken his elbows a combined total of 10 times, told the publication. "Golf just really helps me to calm down. If I can get out there for four hours and be myself, be with my thoughts and just golfing ... it takes away how hectic it is in everyday life."

Sheckler is also known for his MTV reality show "Life Of Ryan" and for appearing in Bieber's music video for "What Do You Mean?" According to the paper, the video received five million views on the first day it launched. It now has over 83 million views on YouTube.

The California native may keep himself busy, but at the end of the day skating is his true passion.

"[Now] All I want to do is skate," he said.
