Steve Nash Divorce Update: Gives Up Court Battle With Ex Alejandra, Kids Now Living In Los Angeles [VIDEO]

After winning a huge legal victory that prohibited his ex-wife from moving their kids to Los Angeles, Lakers guard Steve Nash has had a change of heart, paving the way for her to relocate there with their three young children.

According to TMZ, Nash and his ex, Alejandra Nash, had been battling for more months about her desire to relocate the couple's children from Phoenix to L.A., a move Nash was vehemently opposed to.

The website reports during heated proceedings Nash told the court he felt L.A. was a "horrible place" to raise children and he was convinced his wife was motivated to make the move because the state of California allows for greater child support payments.

In rendering his verdict, the judge ruled Alejandra had failed to prove the move was in the "best interest of the children.

Now comes word Nash, nonetheless, has now relented. TMZ adds the kids are now all enrolled in school and are thought to be settling in.

Nash figures to have his hands full with the Lakers this season as well. No one knows for certain when Kobe Bryant will be able to play following off season surgery on his torn Achilles and the team lost Dwight Howard in free agency to Houston.

With that, coach Mike D'Antoni is expected to heavily lean on his 39-year-old point guard in running his uptempo offense. Nash averaged 13 points and seven assists last season, but only played in 50 games due to an assortment of injuries.

The Lakers also signed Nick Young, Jordan Farmar and Wesley Johnson this off season, all players thought to be good fits for D'Antoni's running style.
