Fantasy Football Week 4 Advice: Boom Or Bust Guys That Can Make Or Break Your Matchup [VIDEO]

Sometimes fantasy owners, especially owners with bad records who are desperate for a win, need to make crazy decisions. There comes a time to throw out preseason rankings, and to give slumping stars a seat on the bench until they prove they are safe to start again.

Here are five players you can use this week that might be able to outperform your struggling or injured stud. Feel free to use these players on DraftKings or FanDuel, as well as in your season-long leagues.

Best Week 4 Bargains At Each Position On FanDuel

Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Jets (DraftKings/$5,100, FanDuel/$6,900)

Fitzpatrick has thrown two or more touchdowns in three straight weeks, and as long as he has Brandon Marshall catching passes, there’s no reason that streak should end. The Jets have the Dolphins this week in London, which will kick off early –9:00 a.m. ET to be exact—and I think that will be a detriment to the defenses. Miami’s D has been shockingly bad so far, and this may be the week Fitzy stays out of the interception column.

Jonas Gray, RB, Dolphins (DraftKings/$3,000, FanDuel/$5,000)

Lamar Miller’s been disappointing, and the ‘Fins didn’t bring Gray in for no reason. It’s still unclear why he was so entrenched in Bill Belichick’s doghouse in New England, but now he’s in Miami, and he is physical enough to make some headway against the Jets’ stout run D. When, of if, the Dolphins get near the goal line expect them to bring in Gray to score. Gray is more valuable in the daily setting, where his low cost mitigates the bust potential.

Top Bargains At Every Spot For Week 4 On DraftKings

Eddie Royal, WR, Bears (DraftKings/$3,700, FanDuel/$4,700)

Jay Cutler is practicing and might make it back on the field this week just in time to face the Raiders’ terrible pass defense. Royal struggled last week, but so did the entire offense vs. the buzzsaw that is the Seattle defense at home. These guys will be running free against Oakland, and Royal is surprisingly good at getting into the end zone.

Jacob Tamme, TE, Falcons (DraftKings/$2,600, FanDuel/$4,700)

Tamme only had one target last week, but he caught it, just like he catches almost everything. This season Tamme’s been targeted 10 times and hauled in eight of them; that will be necessary against the Texans, who will no doubt be dedicating every resource in their arsenal to stopping Julio Jones.

The Texans have been vulnerable to tight ends this year; FootballOutsiders.com pegs them as just the 24th-best defense in the NFL at handling them. It’s time for Tamme to score a touchdown.

Karlos Williams, RB, Bills (DraftKings/$3,400, FanDuel/$6,300)

Williams has value even if LeSean McCoy suits up. If McCoy is in the lineup, most fantasy owners will leave Williams out of theirs. Don’t be one of them. Williams has scored a touchdown in each of Buffalo’s first three games, and racked up 100 yards on 12 carries last week. The guy is good.
