There are certain players in the NFL you don’t want to cross paths with. Steve Smith Sr. is one of them.

The Ravens WR didn’t take kindly to a hit delivered by safety Mike Mitchell in Thursday’s 23-20 OT win. Not kindly at all.

"The best thing I can do without threatening him and saying that I will assault him when I see him, is I will say I look forward to playing him again,” Smith said after the game, per NFL.com. “He's on my lifetime hit list."

Obviously, the connotation here isn’t that of an actual hit list -- the kind synonymous with the mafia. Then again, this is the NFL, a place where Greg Hardy can still find employment.

And when you can grab another grown man and stare into his soul with no regard for human life, it’s difficult to tell what your intentions are.

This isn’t the first time Smith will seek out a physical altercation, and it surely won’t be the last. Even at 36, the future future Hall of Famer -- at least he should be -- is prepared to go blow for blow with anyone who dares cross his path.
