Louisville Sex Scandal: Rick Pitino Denies Involvement [VIDEO]

Louisville is rocking, but not in the way that basketball should be going with reports of an alleged prostitution scandal tied up with the school’s basketball program.

The allegations were spelled out in a book by Katrina Powell who claims that University of Louisville staff paid her more than $10,000 for dance and sex services, according to Forbes.

The issue gets worse since there is one person readily identified – Andre McGee, the director of basketball operations. Powell alleges that McGee is the point man for everything and that her daughters were also among the others commissioned to perform for Louisville players off-campus from 2010 to 2014.

She also adds that separate fees were charged for sexual intercourse for the players.

The issue has of course shed a bad light, particularly on the part of Rick Pitino who has denied any involvement on the whole scandal.

"It's a mild understatement that I'm shocked at these allegations" says Pitino through TMZ.

For his part, Pitino has already talked with McGee regarding the issue at hand and the director for basketball operations has denied any involvement in the claims of Powell. The University has already launched an investigation into the matter.

On the part of McGee who is now coaching at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, the alleged point man has been reportedly placed on administrative leave as the school officials make a review on the prostitution claims.

The incident has indeed placed the Cardinals in a bad light, particularly Pitino who has been involved in a past scandal. However and based on the press conference where he appeared, it does seem that the iconic coach is indeed aware of the said claims.
