Lane Kiffin Update: 3 College Football Programs Kiffin Can Ruin In 2016 [VIDEO]

Nationwide, college football programs are firing their head coaches to open the door for Lane Kiffin in 2016. Maryland will be the latest.

Jake Coker Comfortable With Kiffin’s Play Calling

The Terps are expected to fire head coach Randy Edsall after this weekend’s game against Ohio State, per 247Sports. Barring an unexpected last-minute reversal -- or even a miraculous upset -- Maryland will be without a head coach entering its mid-season bye week.

Add them to the list of potential programs Lane Kiffin can implode next season, but not above the three teams below.

Saban Says Kiffin Is Great At ‘What We Want Him To Do’

Miami

The first undoubtedly should be Miami. The Hurricanes haven’t been relevant since Butch Davis rebuilt the program Larry Coker eventually dismantled in the early 2000s.

The promise of a 3-0 record quickly dissipated in last Thursday’s visit to Cincinnati. The Hurricanes fell 34-23, and an ACC gauntlet awaits them. Florida St., Virginia Tech and Clemson are all on the horizon. Three consecutive losses would bring Al Golden’s record to 31-27.

Disappointing enough to see him fired in favor of Kiffin.

Arkansas

Kiffin can go a long way in opening a vacancy in Arkansas on Saturday. The Crimson Tide host the Razorbacks in an SEC showdown at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Bret Bielema -- who is 12-18 at Arkansas -- is seeing the temperature in his seat rise with every loss. An embarrassment on Saturday could be the final nail in his coffin.

California

Kiffin already ruined one California program, so what’s one more?

Sonny Dykes -- who is off to a scorching 5-0 start in 2015 -- is still in search of a contract extension. Athletic Director Mike Williams is noncommittal on the subject, and for good reason.

In three seasons with the Golden Bears, Dykes is 11-18.
