Russell Wilson, Ciara Rumors: No-Sex Hex Has Cursed Seahawks QB? [VIDEO]

The 2015 season has not gone as smoothly Russell Wilson and the Seahawks would have hoped, and some are blaming that on Wilson’s girlfriend, R&B star Ciara. The couple is infamously remaining abstinent until they get married, and a segment of Seahawks fans think Wilson needs a release.

This is based off Ciara’s famous exes, NBA player Amar’e Stoudemire, and rappers Bow Wow and Future, experiencing sharp declines in their professions after dating her. The curse is a stretch; Future is one of the most popular rappers alive right now and just dropped a mixtape with Drake, while Wilson’s far from being in the toilet.

Wilson’s thrown five touchdowns against two interceptions, and the Seahawks have won back-to-back games. In fact, if anyone seems cursed this year it’s tight end Jimmy Graham. But let Ciara tell it, since she’s the alleged hex master.

“You know what? It comes with territory. I think that this is a job; I wake up every day doing exactly what I love and what I dreamed of. So the best thing to do is focus on that,” she said.

“You also realize when people say negative things about you [that] you’re still living your dream. When people say those types of comments, you know, that’s silly. It’s clearly silly.”

The couple faces non-stop inquiries about their decision to not have sex, likely because Wilson was once married and Ciara has a child with Future. Ciara in particular has explained more than once the value she sees in her arrangement with the quarterback.

“It’s so many great things about him that keep me intrigued that I’m so good with the base of what we’re creating right now,” Ciara said recently. “I think that what’s so cool about it is that it allows us to create a foundation of friendship with each other, and I really believe if we can get that strong we can conquer everything with our love.”
