Duke 41-0 North Carolina - Nov. 18, 1989

The game that sparked his legend. In his final season as Duke head coach, Spurrier led the Blue Devils to a 6-1 record and a share of the ACC title. The deciding game came in a 41-0 rout of North Carolina.

South Carolina 35-21 Alabama - Oct. 9, 2010

There weren't many success for Spurrier in South Carolina, but 2010's victory over Alabama was one of them. The No. 1-ranked Crimson Tide brought a 19-game winning streak into Columbia. Spurrier ensured they left without it being extended.

Florida 24-23 Alabama - Dec. 3, 1994

Spurrier tormented Alabama in decades past. Florida's 24-23 victory at the 1994 SEC Championship game gave the Crimson Tide their first loss of the season and the Gators their second consecutive SEC title.

Florida 32-29 Florida St. - Nov. 22, 1997

Florida State was one victory away from a berth in the National Championship game in 1997. Already eliminated from SEC and national title contention, Spurrier led Florida to the upset of the season.

Florida 52-20 Florida St. - Jan. 2, 1997

Just a few months prior, Spurrier put the finishing touches on a 52-20 victory over the Seminoles for his first and only national championship.
