NBA MVP LeBron James is getting married this weekend and The King is making it a day--- or several days--- to remember.
The New York Post is reporting the nuptials are slated to be a three-day affair in San Diego with a guest list that will include Miami Heat teammates and execs Dwyane Wade, Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra. Other celebs expected to be on hand include Gabrielle Union, Chris Paul, Carmelo and LaLa Anthony and childhood pal and business manager Maverick Carter.
In an otherwise top-secret and high security ceremony, James is set to wed longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson, the mother of his two young sons, LeBron Jr. and Bryce. The couple has been dating since high school and The Post reports the ceremony will either be held at the Grand del Mar or Hotel Del Coronado.
Even given all the reported pomp and circumstance, the newspaper adds James is planning a smaller wedding than what's typical of an NBA player of his stature. "He's cut the list down because he didn't want to have 1,000 people at the wedding," a source told The Post.
Still, the guest list is expected to stretch into the hundreds. Festivities are expected to kick off on Friday evening with a welcome barbecue. The ceremony is planned for Saturday afternoon, and will be followed by cocktails, dinner and dancing to DJs and possibly a live band.
Closing on the weekend extravaganza, on Sunday, wedding guests will feast at a farewell brunch. According to The Post, the event is being organized by celebrity wedding planner Preston Bailey.
