Jeff Hardy has dropped jaws and tested fate his whole career, but his latest injury could be a sign that the high-flyer's career is coming to an end.

The TNA Wrestling star has been a daredevil in the ring throughout his career, but he's also dealt with a lot of injuries that have taken an enormous physical toll on his body. Hardy, a former WWE Heavyweight Champion, is dealing with a torn PCL and currently has no timetable for a return to the ring.

Perhaps a return to the ring shouldn't be in the cards.

"I have a torn PCL [posterior cruciate ligament] in my right knee and it's been torn ever since I broke my tibia," Hardy told The Daily Star. "They put a rod in my tibia, so after all the swelling went down I knew something was wrong with my knee. I finally went to the doctor, and I had an MRI, and found out it was a torn PCL. I just started physical therapy last week, it's been really tough. Hopefully that is going to work and I can avoid surgery. Fingers crossed."

WWE Champ Seth Rollins' Crappy Booking Needs To End

This is just the latest in a long line of ailments for the multi-color haired star. Now, wrestlers are dedicated to their craft and deserve a lot of respect for taking on the rigorous travel schedule of their profession and taking bumps and bruises. They deserve to go out on their own terms, but for his own health, Hardy should at least consider possibly hanging up his boots.

Wrestlers should always get a chance to decide when to leave the squared circle for retirement, but if Hardy continues to get injured, it may not be up to him. To be fair, he suffered his latest setback in a dirt bike accident, but he's dealt with leg, neck and back injuries in the past inside the ring.

Hardy, a man who thrives on jumping off of cages and ladders through tables, is rapidly approaching 40. The fact that he's still walking is a miracle, but it's something he shouldn't push too far.
