Jameis Winston Tampa Bay Bucs Rumors: QB Gets Advice On How To Steer Clear Of Trouble From Unlikely Source [VIDEO]

Being a young quarterback in the NFL, there are a lot of things that could tempt Jameis Winston, but Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter has some advice for the signal caller.

The boy band member admitted that he went through some rough times and was into partying, but that thankfully he's grown out of that lifestyle he had when he lived in Tampa. He had some ideas for the young Buccaneers quarterback to follow in his footsteps.

Jameis Winston Is Face Of Bucs ... Or Not

"I love Tampa, but everyone knows Tampa and knows that there's a nice party scene out there," Carter said when he appeared on "The Miguel Show" on WPOI. "And I'm like, 'Jameis, my advice to you is to stay out of the club, particularly the topless clubs.'"

Winston, 21, signed a four-year, $23.35 million contract with the Buccaneers in May, but Carter doesn't want him to spend any of it on booty. Carter also said he needs to get rid of all of his "scummy friends" and that he should "get a girlfriend, get married and settle down." He also told him to keep his nose in the books.

Carter had struggles with alcohol and drugs in his past, but after he was diagnosed with the heart muscle disease Cardiomyothapy, he changed his ways. Now, he's hoping to mentor Winston before the same issues get a hold of him.

His advice isn't without merit, as Winston got himself into trouble well before joining the NFL, albeit not in strip clubs. Winston was accused of sexual assault at Florida State. He also got into some trouble with a BB gun, had a couple shoplifting incidents, and was suspended for the first half of FSU's game against Clemson last September for some vulgar comments.

In the NFL, Winston is 86 of 152 for 1,174 yards with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.

If he gets in trouble in the booty department like he has with throwing picks on the field, Carter's got his back.
