John White News: Sharks' Gilbert Arenas' Ex-Personal Assistant Guilty Of Stealing $2.1 Million Dollars [VIDEO]

Back in April 2015, Shanghai Sharks star Gilbert Arenas was caught in a whirlwind of events when he found out that his personal assistant, John A. White, was convicted of stealing $2.1 million dollars from him. It was a total of 11 counts of wire fraud, as well as the possibility of facing life in prison. He audaciously wired this huge sum of money via online transfer numerous times from 2008-2011.

White was the personal assistant of Arenas for six years. That was from 2006-2012. He was in-charge of all the things the NBA star needed to accomplish and one in particular interested him the most -- his financial accounts.

People were wondering why he was able to afford a luxurious house in Windermere, Florida, with a $350,000 mortgage and two very expensive cars; a Ferrari and a Range Rover, and only earning $60,000 dollars annually. This made a lot of buzz, and that's why an investigation needed to be done. After much speculation and the evidence found, he was finally indicted on April 9, 2015.

He is currently facing a maximum of 20 years in federal prison for each count of wire fraud, and three years for each count of filing a false tax document. This is a total of over 232 years.

Even after losing this much, not to mention losing from his personal assistant, Arenas will not have any issues with his finances because of the charges that were given to White. His sentencing is said to happen on Nov. 9.
