Jay Z and Beyonce took center stage for LeBron James' nuptials on Sept. 14, serenading him and bride Savannah Brinson with a rendition of their "Crazy In Love."
According to RadarOnline, the 28-year-old Miami Heat star and reigning league MVP married his high school sweetheart and mother of his two young children at the lavish Grand Del Mar Hotel in San Diego. The website reports in attendance were teammate Dwyane Wade, NBA stars Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul and actress Gabrielle Union (Wade's longtime girlfriend). Radar also reports Beyonce flew in from Brazil, where she was touring, to perform at the ceremony.
The couple's honeymoon will apparently be short-lived, as the two-time defending champion Heat are slated to open training camp later this month. Led by the Big 3 of James, Wade and Chris Bosh, Miami begins the season as the consensus favorites to hang yet another NBA banner.
Team president Pat Riley, also reported to be in attendance for the nuptials, was able to add troubled, but high-scoring forward Michael Beasley to the mix this off season, as well as former No. 1 overall draft pick Greg Oden.
In addition, Wade reportedly has spent much of the off season working out with famed Michael Jordan trainer Tim Grover and is confident his ailing knees will be able to hold up for the duration this season.
The Heat open defense of their title by hosting Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 29.
