Boston Celtics News: David Lee Feels Happy For His Golden State Warriors Teammates [VIDEO]

The Golden State Warriors were the leading NBA Champion and they received their championship rings as they started the new season on Oct. 28. In his interview with Comcast Sportsnet, the 32-year-old power forward David Lee said that it had been great and it would have been nice to go back and celebrate with his former teammates.

While he wanted to return for a celebration with his Warriors teammates, Lee said that had not made sense in a logistic manner. Celtics power forward said that he would had not returned until 4:00 in the morning, which had not been fair to all the efforts that they had done.

Lee also mentioned that the event had been a reminder of what they had been able to achieve a year ago, as a franchise and as a team. For Lee, it was like placing a seal to what happened last year and playing with the Celtics was a kind of a brand new start.

Meanwhile, the Celtics were able to win in their game against the Philadelphia 76ers at the TD Garden earlier. According to Comcast Sportsnet, the team struggled during the first half of the match-up, but was able to keep the ball with the assistance from Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas and Celtics power forward Amir Johnson.

Celtics (1-0) and 76ers (0-1) stand at a final score of 112-95 for their recent match. Their upcoming matches are yet to be revealed.
