Further proof that Texas coach Charlie Strong is thinking about the Miami Hurricanes job, despite his tepid denials that he isn't.
Noted Miami area high school defensive assistant football coach Luther Campbell, who may be more recognized nationally as the front man for the rap group 2 Live Crew, said the Strong he knows would be lying if he denied interest in Miami, according to Fox Sports.

Campbell, whom Fox Sports touts as a knowledgeable source about the Hurricanes' program, last week created a list of five coaches that the school should contact about the vacancy, according to the Miami New Times.
He listed Strong, along with West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen, Alabama assistant Mario Cristobal, former Minnesota coach Tim Brewster and former Arizona coach Mark Stoops.

Campbell made clear to Fox Sports that he has not specifically heard any of the men listed in his original report say that the would take the job. But he also made clear that each of the five, including Strong, would take the Hurricanes job, if offered.
"Let me tell you something, those coaches on the list that I've got?" Campbell told Fox Sports. "Trust me. I've had conversations with every one of them. Some of them on the list, I think I can speak to a certain degree because they've got jobs. But for the most part, those guys if they had the opportunity they would love to coach at Miami. And some of the guys on the list would not have a problem taking a pay cut to coach at Miami.
"I know for a fact that all five of those guys would take this job," Campbell reiterated. "I'm not going to go all the way overboard and say that they told me that (since the job opened), but I'll go close to the line that I know for a fact that any one of those guys would take this job."
Strong is making $5 million annually with the Longhorns and almost certainly would take a pay cut if he were to move. That's not a problem, Campbell says.
"Texas ain't like it used to be," Campbell said. "He's got to compete with TCU, Baylor, Houston, Texas A&M. He's a millionaire. But he's going to be a miserable millionaire (if he stays)."
Strong dodged questions about interest in Miami last week.
"I have the best job in the country," Strong said. "I've got a great job here. I've got to get things done here. Each and every week, I'm the topic of conversation on [ESPN]," Strong said with a laugh. "There hasn't been one week that I wasn't. Either they're ripping me or saying I've lost my team or saying something else."
After Texas' 24-0 loss to Iowa State that left the Longhorns 3-5 and 2-3 in the Big 12, Strong mistakenly said "Miami" instead of Iowa State.
