LeBron James' wedding to longtime girlfriend and high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson was a mystery to most, as they wedded in a private and protected setting last weekend in front of close friends and family. The two have recently shared pictures of their honeymoon in Rome on their Instagram accounts, though, perhaps opening up their lives a bit to LeBron's legions of fans.
James and Brinson made their wedding as private as they possibly could last weekend, taking cell phones from guests, using umbrellas to hide the identities of some guests, and making the media stand a safe distance away so as not to see what was going on during the ceremony and the after party.
James posted a photo of the two newlyweds sharing a kiss at Rome's Antica Pesa, according to People Magazine:
James shared the photo with the following caption:
"When u have someone that's always there for you no matter the ups and downs in life, it makes it all worth living for! So happy to call u Mrs. Savannah James #MyQueen #Backbone #QueenJames #Honeymoon," he wrote.
James, 28, also shared photos of the two touring the Coliseum in Rome.
James and Brinson were married last Saturday in California at the Grand Del Mar hotel in San Diego in front of celebrity guests that included James' teammate Dwyane Wade and rapper Jay Z.
While it's all fun for James now as he tours Rome with his bride, it will be all business when the Heat's season tips off Oct. 29 at home against the Chicago Bulls.
James, a two-time NBA champion and four-time NBA Most Valuable Player, recently made waves by telling the media that he wasn't sure what his future holds in Miami if he opts for free agency in the summer of 2014, but whatever he decides, his commitment to Brinson over the weekend makes her a huge factor in his future plans.
