DUKE vs VCU Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen, Live Coverage From Madison Square Garden

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 the Duke Blue Devils (2-1) will aim to rebound from a physical throttling at the hands of No. 2 Kentucky when they face unranked VCU at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. The first step to Duke getting back on track will be getting a better performance from Grayson Allen, who is an amazing leaper, but learned against the Wildcats that athleticism can only take him so far. Allen scored just six points on 2-of-11 shooting from the field.

"I think they did a great job today of helping off and pressuring our drives and meeting us at the rim," Allen told ESPN after the game.

Defense has been VCU’s calling card for several seasons and NCAA Tournament runs of late, but this year Shaka Smart, who implemented the Rams’ famed “Havoc” defense, is no longer on their sideline. Will Wade is the new coach, and so far he has VCU humming at 2-0, and giving up just 62 points a night.

Wade’s club scored 92 points their last time out, but said the Rams will need to approach perfection to beat Duke, even coming off a loss.

"We've got to be twice as good as we were on Friday to give ourselves a chance," Wade said. "If we don't prepare we're going to get embarrassed on Friday night."
