Kobe Bryant Calls Derek Fisher All Time Favorite Teammate, Wants Lakers Comeback? [VIDEO]

Derek Fisher recently inked a one-year deal with Oklahoma City that many league insiders are convinced will be his last NBA contract.

Still, that doesn't stop Kobe Bryant from dreaming of more and longing for a L.A. reunion with his once longtime backcourt mate.

"My all time favorite teammate has always been Derek Fisher," Bryant told ProBasketBall.com this week while in Dubai to promote health and fitness. "He's been my favorite teammate, I would love to see him back in a Lakers uniform so we could kind of finish out together."

At the height of their run, Bryant and Fisher won five titles together and always seemed to make the Lakers a contender. In recent seasons, however, the 37-year-old Fisher has become just a shell of his former self, averaging just six points over the last two seasons.

Even Bryant, now 35 and recovering from a torn Achilles, is starting to see the finish line. "The hardest part about getting older when you play in the NBA is not the training, because you're so used to training for so many years, the hardest part is being able to change your diet," he told reporters. "You've been accustomed to eating crap food your entire life, now you have to have a determination, an inner struggle with yourself, to put that stuff to the side and start eating healthy again. I made the change about three, three-and-a-half years ago."
