Dallas Cowboys Discipline: Team Keeps Domestic Abuser But Cuts Players For Dress Code Violations [VIDEO]

Reason 1,000,000 that the Cowboys might want to invest in a public relations class or a PR consultant during the offseason.

Cornerback Corey White and running back Christine Michael were released two days after Dallas' trip to Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers over failure to meet coach Jason Garrett's dress code rules when traveling, The Dallas Morning News reported.

White, a four-year veteran who signed with the Cowboys in 2015 after three years with the Saints, and Michael, a three-year veteran who spent his first two years with the Seahawks, did not wear suits on the plane to Tampa Bay, according to the report.

"Sometimes you just have to drop the hammer," a Cowboys player said about the decision to part ways with the two veterans.

Cowboys Knew About Nate Newton's Alleged Domestic Violence Issues, Ex-Wife Claims

Dallas owner Jerry Jones has been a staunch supporter of domestic abuser Greg Hardy, Huffington Post points out, along with "fighting with coaches, un-remorseful behavior and chronic tardiness," not to mention fighting with teammates, but has zero tolerance for players not dressed in a suit for road games.

"The Cowboys were all too willing to use 'the hammer' on backup players who don't dress up to an arbitrary professional standard, yet the team's misogynistic, allegedly abusive defensive star can brew his own drama and show up late to work without any tangible repercussions."

What's worse is that Michael still played against Tampa Bay, even though his fate was apparently sealed. He carried the ball three times for eight yards in the Cowboys' 10-6 loss, creating the appearance that the offense-starved franchise may have compromised its own rules to give Michael a shot of providing an offensive spark. White said he was wearing slacks and a button-down shirt, according to TMZ Sports.

"I'm not angry," White told TMZ Sports. "It's the rules."

He believed his dress would be acceptable and claims that one of the Dallas assistants confirmed he was being cut "specifically because of the dress code violation."

Lending proof to the fact that all NFL players, at least on the Cowboys, are not created equal.
