Los Angeles Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Not Retiring After This Season [VIDEO]

The never-ending topic tied up with Kobe Bryant is perhaps what the Lakers superstar plans after this season.

Bryant is playing out the final year of his contract but if his play lately is any indication, it may likely mean his final hurrah. He has struggled to get back to his deadly form, compounded by some new injuries which are deemed minor.

Just the same, Bryant was deemed an integral part for the Lakers this season to lead a group of young players being groomed as the Lakers’ next big stars. That hasn’t happened at all for now.

There are some who believe that Bryant is likely to retire by the end of this season, that is if he can finish it healthy. He has made it clear before that he doesn’t intend to play elsewhere (not even overseas) so the belief that he will likely end his career wearing the purple and gold as reported on Fox Sports.

But an exclusive report from Hollywood Life may somehow change all that.

According to the report, Bryant plans to play beyond the current season which means that he could either play for another ballclub or even overseas if the Lakers do not sign him up once his contract lapses.

Bryant is unlikely to get a lucrative deal after this season, especially at the rate he is getting injured.

These rumored revelations of course go against the words of Bryant’s early claims that he will finish his career as a Los Angeles Laker though such remains to be seen.

Kobe is likely to shoot down these insinuations as well once he is thrown the recurring question of his career plans. But the only thing sure is that Bryant’s career plans will depend entirely on him and not anyone else.
