The biggest blockade in Lana's path to WWE success may just be herself.
The "Ravishing Russian" was being molded into the next top WWE Diva, but her actions after a wrist injury stalled her in-ring training may be her undoing. The WWE was grooming Lana at its Performance Center in Orlando to make her main roster in-ring debut, but her momentum toward her first match stalled out when the injury occurred.

Since that moment, it's been all downhill for the blonde bombshell.
There have been rumors that the WWE wants Lana to be its next top Diva and possibly eventually its Divas Champion, but her actions outside the squared circle could be detrimental to her standing in the company upon returning.

First, Lana exposed the angle of her relationship with Dolph Ziggler to be a farce when she revealed her real-life engagement to Rusev to TMZ. The WWE was very unhappy about this as it forced them to publicly acknowledge their pending nuptials and end the storyline of Rusev and Lana being rivals by explaining that there was an off-screen reunion.
As if that wasn't bad enough, Lana then got involved in a legitimate Twitter argument with WWE Diva Paige, who is currently being pushed as the top heel. Paige had several people jump to her defense on the social media website, while the WWE got very angry at Lana for stirring it up.
The fact that Lana used the term "bully" to describe Paige's behavior toward her in NXT also gave the WWE reasons to be angry with her given how much of a hot-button topic bullying is.
With the Diva's actions drawing the ire of the WWE brass, it's likely her planned push will fall by the wayside by the time she returns to action. Lana is currently at the Performance Center in Florida training for her return, but the heat on her from management is described as "nuclear," according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.
The WWE tried to turn the Twitter war with Paige into an angle on its website, but there's no mistaking the fact that Lana is continuously digging a hole for herself and she may not be able to crawl out of it in time to save her push.
